DISRUPT 6.0: Pinay Leadership Futures

The sixth volume in FWN's groundbreaking DISRUPT leadership series brings together essays and reflections from Filipina and Filipina-diaspora leaders writing from the Philippines, Canada, Japan, Switzerland, and the United States — women working across business, technology, education, public service, entrepreneurship, and community leadership. Each contributor traces how her leadership took shape inside lived experience, culture, and identity, and within the social and institutional systems that Filipina women navigate, challenge, and rebuild.

These are reflective, analytical accounts, not simple success stories: leadership examined as agency, creativity, responsibility, and collective impact. Situated within the wider conversation on women's leadership, diaspora identity, intersectionality, and social change, DISRUPT 6.0 speaks across generations, sectors, and borders — to the next generation of Pinay leaders writing their own definition of the word, and to any reader leading through a moment when the old rules no longer hold.

Pinay — the term Filipina women have spent a generation reclaiming as a badge of pride — is the answer DISRUPT 6.0 puts forward: Pinay leadership is not emerging. It is already designing the future.

PINAY.
What does it mean when an identity once stripped of its dignity becomes a declaration of power?

Since 2014, the DISRUPT series has carried more than 167 Filipina voices across 16 countries into print.

The 20 authors of DISRUPT 6.0 extends that legacy, launching at the 22nd Filipina Leadership Global Summit in Monaco, 15–19 November 2026, where its questions carry straight onto the Summit floor through three dedicated Discussion Panels: Power, Influence, and Security.
